What to Expect During a Session
The first portion of a session, lasting around 30 minutes or so, is our cognitive discussion. This is where we pinpoint exactly how to help you achieve the results you desire. I’ll ask thoughtful questions and we will have a nice conversation, where you’ll likely feel very supported, safe, and relieved that there is hope!
During hypnotherapy, you’re not asleep, but in a relaxed position with your eyes closed. You’re actually very aware, alert, and in control the whole time. Most people find their senses become more focused, and they’re able to concentrate deeply on my guidance while still being aware of everything around them.
While you’re in hypnosis, I offer personalized suggestions that are tailored specifically to your goals. These suggestions help shift habits, thought patterns, and beliefs in ways that support healing, personal growth, and meaningful change.
The reason this work is so effective? It is in fact all because the “body mind” is involved in the hypnotic session. The “body mind” is the subconscious mind, and it makes up about 90% of your total mind power. This portion of your mind is capable of experiencing the desired changes in the body, making transformation highly likely.
When we are finished with the session, you’ll likely feel calm, relaxed, and clear-headed. There is often a continuing sense of relief and well-being. As some clients have said… you may feel like you’ve just walked out of a “mind spa.”
How to Prepare For a Session
Because our sessions together will be online using Zoom, there are a few things you’ll want to have in place to maximize our time together. I recommend you select a quiet room where you can be alone, and free of pets and other responsibilities. Feel free to wear loose, comfortable clothing and sit in a cozy chair where you can recline if you’d like. You’ll want to be sure to set your computer up in a stable position, where I can see you from the waist up. Having a blanket nearby is lovely, and you’ll want to be sure your electronics are all set to quiet mode.
